"I started working with Ajay without much of an expectation. I have been consistently working out for 30 years, and have had personal trainers on and off before. When I started with Ajay, I just finished a F45 challenge (I have been going to F45 for 3 years) and lost about 3kg of the Covid weight.

I was already fairly happy to be back to “normal”. But during the F45 challenge, I realised I need to lose more fat, not for the aesthetic, but to lower my visceral fat inside around my organs.

I also want to really strengthen my functional performance. I want to be stronger and more stable as I get older.

I want to be in good shape entering the big 50. Lastly, I want to be able to do some good chin ups unassisted. These 3 became my goals.

I don’t think I articulated these goals as clearly, but Ajay listened, focused on them and got to work.

I continued with a stricter diet. Ajay checked in and did weigh in to make sure I was on track with my nutrients and macros. He set goals on the daily intakes for me and help me track the daily progress.

Ultimately I lost another 7kg and brought my body fat down to about 12%. It is the lowest weight and body fat in my whole life! I can’t help but be happy when I look into the mirror (still vain.)

More importantly, Ajay kept the focus on and worked on my strength. We squats, deadlifts,  pull ups, bench presses to work all the major areas. He focused me on my form and movement.

I become more conscientious with my body before, during and after the set. Ajay also taught me how to activate my back. He reminded me the importance of activating and engaging my whole body in these big muscle exercises. He continually corrects my position and forms. Not just like other trainers who just tell you to lean forward more or don’t round your back.

He explains, shows me youtube clips, demonstrates, and films my set to show me how I did. He also changes the exercise detail, such as adding pin drop or changing the movement, so that the exercises work best for me and be the most effective according to my body.I am really enjoying how Ajay set up the progressive challenges every week on building my strength up. He records and monitors the progress on his laptop while we go through the sets.

Ajay has a clear path for me. It is not the random rounds of chest today legs tomorrow type program. I am grateful for Ajay who has got me into the best shape in my life. I am so looking forward to the day I can squat and bench press a 100kg. I guess these are my next level of goals."
